Brad Paisley made a dying man's wish come true by using a guitar the man gave him on a song from his latest record, Wheelhouse.
Brad met Lee Feldman in a meet-and-greet line last October, where Feldman gave Brad his prized custom-made guitar and said that he was dying of pancreatic cancer.
Brad talks about it at around the 3 minute mark.
"He said, 'If you're going to play it, I want you to have it.
If you ain't going to play it, give it to somebody else.' I don't want it
collecting dust. He gave it to me months ago and towards the end if the record I
brought it into the studio and set it in there and I went, 'I know the song for
that.'"
The song Brad chose for the guitar is "Officially Alive" -- the last track on the album. Lee Feldman died a month after giving him the guitar.
