WAMZ Pet of the Week: Gemma

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen! Our next guest comes all the way from the Kentucky Humane Society and speaks for all of us when she says that no obstacle is too great to overcome! Gemma is a two-year-old Domestic Shorthair with a knack for cheering humans up. Her inspirational attitude is due in part to her recent diagnosis of Feline Idiopathic Cystitis, a condition that weakens the urinary tract and is worsened by stress. Gemma's previous family thought she would feel most comfortable in a home with no other animals and brought her to KHS to find such a home. But don't worry - she just needs some special dry food and lots of love. Gemma, true to her name, is surely a gem! Full of chirps and purrs, she's always happy to see you. Will you be the lucky one to rescue this diamond in the rough? Gemma is spayed, micro-chipped and up-to-date on her shots. Come meet Gemma today at the St. Matthews Feeders Supply, 4600 Shelbyville Road. For more on Gemma or any of our adoptable pets, please call 502-366-3355 or visit kyhumane.org.
