Teens Help Save Man From Jumping Off Bridge

A pair of 16-year-old boys from Lowell, Massachusetts are getting credit for being heroes after helping save a stranger’s life recently. Justin Peterson and Jesse Carrier were planning to meet up at the Bridge Street bridge when Justin noticed a man on the wrong side of the railing.

The guys talked to the man, asking him to join them at a nearby Dunkin’ Donuts to get some coffee and keep talking, and the stranger agreed. But as the teens walked away, the guy went back to the bridge and back over the railing. Thankfully, Jesse and Justin were right there, so they grabbed the man and pulled him back to the safe side of the railing, and waited with him until an ambulance arrived to take him to the hospital.

The teens got a message from the man’s sister, letting them know how thankful his family is for their heroic actions. “I feel that no one should have to feel how he was feeling,” Justin explains, “I’m glad that I helped him and glad that he’s alright.”
